Project details

What we need
  • Setup of Google Analytics account and tracking codes for web assets (e.g. mobile apps, website, blog, social media)
  • Training on how to track performance, set up reports and analyze the data collected online
  • Set of guidelines for data collection, interpretation and analysis

We just launched a new website and Google just launched the new GA4 tag at the same time. Additionally, while our new site is WordPress, we have a trail guide app (Hike Wild Montana) that is being developed to function inside of our new site. This adds a whole new layer to tracking engagement on the map. We need help placing the correct code for a single-page application. We also use third-party web services for petitions, webforms, and more.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a Google Analytics account and reporting experience, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have staff with technical savvy, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,772 , allowing us to further training opportunities for our staff and improve our ability to track our campaign performance -- ultimately helping us keep Montana wild!

We just went through a complete rebrand from Montana Wilderness Association to Wild Montana. We want to start off on the right foot tracking all our digital channels as accurately as possible. Google is also shifting their GA reporting and any help we can get to adapt to their changes now will help us report on our rebranding efforts accurately. Because of the number of platforms we use, the implementation of tracking is a bit more complicated and we'd love to have an expert guide us!

  • Volunteer Manager gives overview of any current use of online statistics and shares admin details for existing Google Analytics account (if it exists)
  • Professional connects with Volunteer Manager for a brainstorming/overview session, to discuss goals, current web platforms, and existing data on statistics (if any)
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager outline next steps and timeline for the project

Milestone 1: Tracking Setup
  • Professional explains basics of getting started with Google Analytics and sets up tracking codes based on the Organization’s goals
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager on setting up reports to collect desired data
  • Professional reviews implementation of tracking codes to ensure they are working and helps troubleshoot as needed

Milestone 2: Training
  • Professional creates guidelines for data interpretation and analysis, and shares any tips for continued used of Google Analytics
  • Professional reviews above guidelines and tips with Volunteer Manager
  • Professional is available for up to two weeks to address questions as Volunteer Manager starts to regularly monitor analytics
