Project details

What we need
  • An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
  • A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
Additional details

We recently launched a $40,000 summer matching challenge that will last through September 23. As part of the challenge, we'd like to create some simple infographics of our 2020 success data to share via social media. For this project, I'd like to share our branding guidelines and a few examples of past work, and have a graphic designer create 10-20 simple infographics to help illustrate these numbers.

What we have in place
  • We currently have branding guidelines and examples of previous publications, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have data, in terms of impact and numbers, from our 2020 success, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to Cover river cleanup expenses this fall, plant over 800 trees in the spring of 2022, and better share our community-based program work with the over 20,000 residents of our region.

We're a small nonprofit with a big impact, and our approach is unique in the region. Through active partnerships, we combine smart, field-based science with engaged stewardship to produce practical solutions for streams, lakes, and watersheds. In the past 3 years, we've doubled our budget and tripled our programatic output. This project will help us tell our success story in a way that will hopefully be engaging to existing and future donors.

Our mission

Helping communities protect our streams and lakes.

What we do

Formed by the community and focused on our watershed since 1998, the Ausable River Association is the community's voice for the river.

We're advocates for clean water, healthy stream and lake habitats, for brook trout and the myriad native species that depend on the river.

Our programs protect the clean waters, healthy streams and lakes, and diverse native wildlife of the Ausable watershed and beyond.

Our staff monitors the health of our waterways, sharing what we learn with our community to better understand changes and find practical solutions.

We restore streams, rebuilding their form and function, repairing erosion that threaten homes and businesses, and replacing culverts to reduce road damage and ensure fish passage.

We provide resources to anglers, paddlers, and other recreational users encouraging them to enjoy and steward our rivers, streams, lakes, and adjacent lands.

We share our knowledge freely with young and old, landowners, municipal employees, and technical experts - through workshops, events, and one-on-one interactions.

We work cooperatively with a wide array of organizational partners, often behind the scenes and far from the limelight. Like the river, we're the force connecting the diverse parts.

Testimonials

David was a pleasure to work with. He responded promptly to our project, helped brainstorm some ideas that worked with our limited timeframe, and produced a great final product that matched our branding perfectly. My only regret is that we couldn't spend more time working together to utilize his robust skills and creativity. Maybe next time. Otherwise, I couldn't have asked for this project to go any more smoothly. David saved us a great deal of time and money, and I highly recommend him for future projects.

Infographic Project

A clear and straightforward assignment where I completed graphics that summarised the successes outlined in their annual report. It was very easy to deal with Tyler and he always offered prompt feedback and he made sure everything went well.
