River Otter Ecology Project is 1/3 of the way through an arts contest/fundraiser. Our social person has had a family emergency, and we need someone good at IG and FB to jump in. We have content, photos, established IG and FB. We need someone who can continue to post for us for the fundraiser as well as general (totally fun because river otters!) for the next 3 months. Anyone out there ready for fun, river otters (floofy babies!) and arts?

What we have in place
  • We currently have content galore, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have fast feedback, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to I have no idea how that dollar amount came to be, but thank you!

This will help us meet our goal to support watershed conservation, thus making the planet just that much more able to support us all.

  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss the Organization’s current approach to Instagram (if any), goals for engagement via Instagram, and ideal target audience
  • Volunteer Manager shares any existing marketing materials and brand guidelines with Professional

Milestone 1: Set up Instagram for Business Account
  • Volunteer Manager shares Instagram credentials with Professional, if an existing account exists
  • Professional sets up account with bio and profile picture

Milestone 2: Develop Engagement Strategy
  • Professional recommends other types of accounts to follow and hashtags to use in order to build follower base
  • Professional recommends types and frequency of content to post on account (including posts, stories, and live videos)

Milestone 3: Content Creation Training
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager on how to capture and/or find images to post on Instagram
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager on how to use Instagram editing tools

Our mission

Due to their charisma, river otters are important ambassadors for watershed conservation. Their recent return to our local Bay Area watersheds is a sign of environmental success and a reason for faith in the efficacy of restoration efforts.

Our mission is to engage the public in supporting conservation and restoration by linking river otter recovery to the health of our watersheds through education, research, and community science.

Our vision is to inspire personal connections and motivate meaningful actions to preserve our shared natural landscapes for future generations.
