Customer Database (CRM) Audit
Customer Database (CRM) Audit
Project details
What we need
- Assessment of Organization’s current CRM practices with recommendations on improvements such as setup, maintenance, integrations with other systems, and insights reporting
- Recommendations on a new CRM system and related costs (if necessary) such as Airtable, Bloomerang, Kindful, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or Salsa CRM
- Note: This project does not include implementation of recommended CRM platform. For a project to advise and implement an entire system, try our Customer Database (CRM) Setup project
Additional details
We are currently using Salesforce for our CRM needs, but are not pleased with this platform and would like to switch to a new system. We have some specific organizational needs, such as tracking annual memberships, integrating a mail merge system, organizing business partnership benefits, compiling donor metrics, and so forth. We aim to find new CRM software that aligns with these needs and fits within our budget.
What we have in place
- We currently have the Salesforce nonprofit package set up for comparison, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an employee who knows our CRM needs inside and out, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,933 , allowing us to purchase a new jonboat to use for water quality monitoring, invasive species surveys, and long-term climate change data collection.
As an organization, we've grown from a few hundred members to over 600 members in the last five years, and have tripled our budget with donations and business partnerships. In order to grow our membership body and further engage our existing members, it is critical to have better data on them. Additionally, our current donation tracking and acknowledgement system is cumbersome, which wastes a lot of time. Greater efficiency will allow us to focus on mission-driven programs.
Project plan
Our mission
Helping communities protect our streams and lakes.
What we do
Formed by the community and focused on our watershed since 1998, the Ausable River Association is the community's voice for the river.
We're advocates for clean water, healthy stream and lake habitats, for brook trout and the myriad native species that depend on the river.
Our programs protect the clean waters, healthy streams and lakes, and diverse native wildlife of the Ausable watershed and beyond.
Our staff monitors the health of our waterways, sharing what we learn with our community to better understand changes and find practical solutions.
We restore streams, rebuilding their form and function, repairing erosion that threaten homes and businesses, and replacing culverts to reduce road damage and ensure fish passage.
We provide resources to anglers, paddlers, and other recreational users encouraging them to enjoy and steward our rivers, streams, lakes, and adjacent lands.
We share our knowledge freely with young and old, landowners, municipal employees, and technical experts - through workshops, events, and one-on-one interactions.
We work cooperatively with a wide array of organizational partners, often behind the scenes and far from the limelight. Like the river, we're the force connecting the diverse parts.
Testimonials
Working with Bill was great. He dove right into the project, researching a wide array of options and helping communicate between CRM software companies, their reps, and me. This saved me a huge amount of time and allowed us to hone in on a few of the top CRM software options. Bill was also highly communicative and answered emails promptly and informatively. I highly recommend Bill and wish him well as he expands his CRM expertise and consultation offerings. I hope to work with him in the future as we shift toward implementation.
I really enjoyed working with Tyler and Ausable River
