Project details

What we need
  • A document outlining each page and section of the website, with descriptions of written and visual content for each
  • An assessment of the written content, specifically indicating where written content is final, draft (needs editing), or needs to be written from scratch
  • An assessment of the visual content, specifically indicating which visual assets are ready and which need to be created or sourced
  • Advice on how to collect content from other places (e.g., marketing materials, grant proposals, event photos, etc.) and edit it for the website
  • Note: This project is for content planning only. For additional support, see the Website Creation: Build a Brand New Site bundle
What we have in place
  • We currently have copy for each page & a visual brand guide, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have some images, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,636 , allowing us to train 30 grassroots organisers in online campaigning to keep their group's work going during the pandemic.

Tripod is overhauling our website to make a better case to funders and communicate to grassroots organisers about what we do. Our website need some design and layout support to pull together the work so far and better convey the work we do to the outside world!

Project plan

P
Prep: Introduction & Kick-Off
  • Volunteer Manager explains website goals and primary audience
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of other websites they like and sends any existing content and visual assets to Volunteer
  • Volunteer asks questions to get a full understanding of website content needs
  • Volunteer creates rough outline of website pages and content sections that content will be needed for
  • Both parties review our pro-tips for Organizations and Volunteers to ensure the project is set up for success
1
Milestone 1: Review Draft Plan
  • Volunteer provides draft of the website content plan, including a description of the type of written and visual content needed for each page or section on the site
  • Volunteer makes suggestions as to which existing content from other materials (grant proposals, fliers, etc.) can be used for each section
  • Volunteer and Volunteer Manager discuss plan and identify the status of the written and visual content (i.e., which elements are final, which are in draft form and need editing, and which do not exist yet and need to be written or sourced)
  • Up to 2 rounds of feedback
2
Milestone 2: Review Final Plan
  • Volunteer and Volunteer Manager meet to review the content plan to make sure that all required content has been identified and the flow of information on the website will be clear and compelling
  • (Optional): The Volunteer may offer to proofread and/or edit the draft written content, and/or may offer to help the Volunteer Manager source images and other visual assets for the website.

Our mission

Tripod supports movements for justice to align, connect and plan to win.

We build the power of social movements to tackle the root causes of injustice, create collaborative and healthy group cultures, develop strategic anti-oppressive alliances and organise for transformative change.

What we do

Training - We offer hands-on training in strategic campaign planning, community organising, collaborative and anti-oppressive ways of working and direct action skills. We embed skill-sharing, coaching and capacity-building, so that movements are well-resourced with facilitation and training capacity. Our workshops and in-depth community organising programmes create rare spaces where organisers from across different movements can align, connect and plan to win.

Meeting facilitation - We facilitate transformative and disruptive processes to empower groups to make more strategic and sustainable decisions together, address power dynamics and work through challenges. We support groups to clarify their aims, align practice with values, develop powerful campaign strategies and transform their organisational systems and structures.

Crosspollination - By offering cross-movement spaces, we link people together, strengthen coalitions and cross-pollinate learning. We support groups and organisers to build connections with one another and develop the resources they need to be resilient and strategic in the face of shared challenges.

Consultation & Development - We support organisations to design engaging and participatory trainings which take more radical and systemic approaches to tackling the root causes of injustice. We also offer longer-term consultation to help groups develop their organisational structures and systems.

Testimonials

Francesco was an incredible help on this project - we couldn't have done it without his help. Francesco was a dream to work with and our attractive, accessible website really shows off Tripod to those we want to know about our work. Thanks a million!
