Online Learning (LMS) Set Up

Project details

What we need
  • Recommendations on the most appropriate cloud-based or open-source Learning Management System, depending on Organization's needs and budget (some platform providers may provide free or heavily discounted plans for 501(c)(3) nonprofits)
  • An implemented e-learning/LMS, such as Moodle, Schoology, TalentLMS, Easy LMS with one course uploaded
  • Training for up to 5 staff on how to set up and use chosen platform
  • Note: This project does not include the creation of courses or learning materials
What we have in place
  • We currently have Lesson plans, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have A Program overview, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,230 , allowing us to focus on making impact for the ocean!

This project is essential for determining how best to deliver a youth watershed education program and inspire the next generation of stewards.

  • Professional collects all information to be able to research appropriate LMS options, including the team's understanding of and comfort with technology
  • Professional assembles an implementation plan

  • Professional presents a few LMS choices for the Volunteer Manager to select from based on their criteria
  • Volunteer Manager chooses a LMS vendor
  • Professional presents implementation plan and estimated timeline

  • Professional sets up LMS with input from Volunteer Manager

  • Professional runs one training for up to 5 staff members

Ocean Blue Project is a grassroots environmental charitable organization with a Mission to protect the health of humans, our One World Ocean, beaches, and rivers through collaborative community driven plastic pollution relief, service learning projects, scientific research, and youth education.

What we do

Ocean Blue Project is an authentic grassroots nonprofit on a mission to clean the ocean. Our goal is to rehabilitate and conserve the world's waterways, which will allow for healthier human and wildlife communities. We dive into plastic recovery projects that protect people from cancers and disease and engage communities in pollution relief, river restoration, and youth education programs that encourage intentional stewardship of the earth and wildlife.
