Project details

What we need
  • A professionally designed report, up to 10 pages, in high-resolution format (jpeg, pdf, etc.)
  • Accurate, print-ready specifications
Additional details

Greetings!

UpRoot Colorado is a young nonprofit (we just received our nonprofit status in March of this year) and we are currently strapped in the human-resources department.

We have a writer who will put together the content; we just need a little help getting our 2019 (Yikes!) annual report over the finish line (in full disclosure, we have not yet started it).

Thank you for your consideration!

Dave

What we have in place
  • We currently have content (that needs editing but we can do that!), which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a writer who will get the content written and corralled, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,817 , allowing us to gain more momentum. Adequate finances are essential to any organization to continue its trek toward its goals. As a nonprofit, funding to us is a way to increase our reach and positive impact.

We received our Letter of Determination in March of 2020. We have been decent-to-good to staying organized and producing materials for funders and volunteers (and anyone interested in our work, really) to read. We are woefully behind on our annual report this year, though.

Our mission

We increase the nutrition security of Coloradans by harvesting and redistributing surplus, nutrient-dense foods while supporting the resilience of farmers.

What we do

We:

Increase nutritional security in Colorado by diverting locally grown, nutrient-dense surplus agriculture into the state's hunger-relief system.

Support Colorado's smallholder and family farms via a trained volunteer gleaning corps, outreach through educational content and social media, quantitative and qualitative research, legislative-advocacy work and via collaboratively structured pilot projects addressing agricultural issues such as on-farm labor shortages in Colorado.

Reinstall food wisdom in our Colorado communities by reconnecting Coloradans with where much of their food originates.

Testimonials

Jackie and Molly (and their team at McGrath + McKenna Design) are kind, talented, generous and patient! The team @ Mc+Mc produced UpRoot's 2019 Annual Report and it looks fantastic and raises the bar for our 2020 report. As an organization, we are still in the start-up phase of the nonprofit life-cycle and our staff wears many hats. Leveraging Catchafire to connect with Jackie and Molly brought us so much support and helped us to catch up on an important aspect of reporting to our community. Thank you Mc+Mc!
