Project details

What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details

We are looking for a web developer to help us develop a widget to collect donations on our website, then connect it to GoFundMe using their API.

What we have in place
  • We currently have access to the GoFundMe API and an example of what we would like the widget to look like. We can also give you access to our website to implement the changes.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to focus our time and resources on our work developing community clean energy microgrids in underserved communities.

We're currently in the process of switching our donation platform to GoFundMe, and our old donation platform is expiring soon. GoFundMe doesn't currently have a donation form widget that is embeddable, and having an easily accessible donation widget on our website will help us continue to raise money to support our mission of making clean energy and climate change understandable and actionable for everyone.

  • Volunteer Manager provides list of required updates to make (including sharing content or image assets, as necessary)
  • Both parties review our pro-tips for Organizations and Volunteers to ensure the project is set up for success

Milestone 1: Kick-Off Meeting
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss requested updates, and agree on a project timeline
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with credentials to access the website admin portal

Milestone 2: Review Updates
  • Professional makes the requested updates to the website (if available, the changes should be made in a test or development environment first)
  • Volunteer Manager reviews each update, and reports any remaining issues to the Professional

Milestone 3: Implementation of Updates
  • Professional implements updates to the live website
  • Professional troubleshoots any issues that may arise immediately after implementing changes on the live site

Our mission

We are a woman-run nonprofit that works to make climate science and clean energy understandable and actionable for everyone!

What we do

We partner with grassroots orgs in environmental justice communities to design clean energy accessbility projects. This is mostly in the form of microgrids, but we have some others too! Right now we have active projects in Chelsea, MA, Cambridge, MA, and Boston's Chinatown in MA.
