Project details

What we need
  • 3-5 one-on-one sessions with a coach to work on your individual methods of organizing your time and priorities
  • Recommendations on the best tools for your organizational needs
Additional details

I'd like some help with identifying a practical process for improving my time management practices as i juggle remote staff, programs, board relationships and financial record-keeping.

What we have in place
  • We currently have workplans and a strategic plan, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have use of Huddle and non-profit Google Suite acconts, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,968 , allowing us to use our brains more vs. time we waste with duplication or making errors.

Time saved or used more effectively will help us do more good for rivers!

Our mission

"Supporting professionals who study, protect and manage North America's rivers."

The River Management Society (RMS) is the nation's premier network connecting those who work on and for rivers with their river professional peers, including outfitters and guides, rangers, planners and landscape architects, fluvial geomorphologists, environmental lawyers and policymakers, students, professors, researchers and authors.

What we do

RMS offers training workshops and series of 'conversations' on topics ranging from managing wild and scenic rivers and their specific river values (scenery, recreation, culture, fish and wildlife) to addressing the overwhelming need to welcome and embrace the cultural and ethnic diversity of the public who visit rivers and rely on them for sustenance. We host the National Rivers Project, an ever-growing geospatial map which allows visitors to 'shop' over 2000 for river trips on wild and scenic rivers, water trails and whitewater rivers. RMS and its members offer year-round mentorship, avenues to pursue river internships and permanent job opportunities to students who love rivers and being outside,. We are extremely proud of our multi-disciplinary River Studies and Leadership Certificate through ten universities and colleges in the U.S.

Testimonials

I appreciated working with Joe so much! After I laid out a brief profile of my work responsibilities, he asked excellent questions and a suggested course of action to help me reframe an approach to managing time and priorities more effectively. We (Joe and I) plan to continue our interaction post-call, too and I am thrilled to have an opportunity to learn from his project management skills and experience.
