What we need
  • A set of professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered in JPEG or TIFF format optimized for use on the Organization's website, social media, or in printed design materials
  • Written specs describing all visual design elements, filters and text treatments used to ensure consistency for future related work
Additional details

We are looking for a professional photographer to volunteer on September, 25 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm at our annual gala, An Upstream Soiree. He/She will be documenting the festive night with his/her own professional camera throughout the evening and will share the photos in the next couple of days.

We would like to capture and document the over 200 supporters coming together to celebrate the protection, improvement, and restoration of the Bronx River on this festive evening, honoring 3 long-time advocates for the Bronx and the Bronx River.

Prep: Distribution of Materials & Input
  • Volunteer Manager provides background on the Organization and goals for the photos (intended usage & number of photos needing editing)
  • Volunteer Manager provides initial input on desired enhancements and optimizations to images including any brand assets to be included (ex: logos, taglines, brand colors, etc…)
  • Professional surveys the images provided by the volunteer manager to assess the condition and work required to satisfy the need
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager agree upon a timeline for initial feedback and final deliverables

Milestone 1: Initial Edits & Feedback
  • Professional edits and optimizes images including but not limited to color enhancement, retouching, removing unwanted details and applying filters
  • Professional adds watermarks or branding (if requested) and outputs the optimize images for review
  • Volunteer Manager provides clear feedback on editing choices and articulates additional areas of improvement

Milestone 2: Final Deliverables
  • Professional delivers high-resolution images to the Volunteer Manager optimized to desired use cases (web, social, print, etc…)
  • Professional provides written specs describing all visual elements, filters and text treatments used to ensure consistency for future related work
  • Organization credits the photos appropriately

The Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the river and works in harmonious partnership to protect, improve and restore the Bronx River corridor so that it can be a healthy ecological, recreational, educational and economic resource for the communities through which the river flows.

The Bronx River Alliance works in close partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation to achieve these goals.
