What we need
- An edited 1-3 minute video delivered in electronic format as agreed upon between the Professional and Organization, with HD quality as a master version, along with any agreed upon formats for final usage
What we have in place
- We currently have captivating raw footage of our watershed, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a great relationship with the videographer, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,422 , allowing us to spend more time in the community raising awareness for this spectacular migration!
Each spring over 1/2 million river herring migrate from the ocean up the Mystic River to the Mystic Lakes and to Horn Pond. If lined up back-to-back, this would measure up to 100 miles of fish! The more we know about the river herring the better equipped we are to advocate for a clean and healthy Mystic River, and for this unique species, and the wildlife it supports. We'd like to use this video to recruit volunteers for our herring monitoring program to collect this critical data.
