What we need
  • Training on how to create video content for web and specific social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • List of recommendations and best practices for shooting a video
  • Instructions for how to post videos to respective social media platforms
Additional details

We want to be nimble in getting compelling video of our programs and partners (farmers, chefs, others) online and to our constituents. We have basic digital editing skills, but no training on shooting or best practices.

What we have in place
  • We currently have several staff interested in learning to take better video, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have several projects and events as subjects, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to upgrade our vide equipment and fund the professional development staff time needed for this training.

We need more people to appreciate our mission, which can seem nerdy to some. Smart videos are a great way to tell the story of our work to new audiences and grow our following.

  • Professional shares tips and best practices for creating videos - including necessary equipment, determining location/background settings, camera placement, etc.

  • Professional instructs Volunteer Manager how to post videos directly to each specified social media platform
  • Professional remains available for follow up questions for up to two weeks
