What we need
- A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
Additional details
The Green Urban Lunch Box is currently only receiving 2% of our funding from individuals and we are hoping to increase this to 10% or more. We have an engaged audience of 2300 people but aren't able to get them to donate. We are hoping with help in writing a powerful donation letter we can increase this funding.
What we have in place
- We currently have program descriptions, populations served and output stats, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have full time development officer able to work with you, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,240 , allowing us to apply for at least 8 other grants. This savings is equal to 64 hours of our development coordinators time and with this time she will be able to work on submit other grants to reach our budget goals.
We have more than doubled our budget for 2019 to expand our reach to more vulnerable people living with food insecurities by increasing our individual giving we will be more likely to achieve our lofty budget goals. We are currently only receiving 2% of our funding from individual donors and we need help increasing this portion of our funding to at least 10%

Our mission
The Green Urban Lunch Box's mission is to empower people to engage in local food production using the resources already available in their community. We do so by connecting people to a creative network of spaces and opportunities.
