Project details

What we need
  • Consultation regarding the Organization's current branding and desired branding objectives
  • Visual branding guidelines / style guide that include specific colors, fonts, and other graphic design elements to use in print and digital communications materials
  • High-resolution logo delivered electronically (in formats for digital and print use)
Additional details

We have an existing logo that has been around for 10+ years, and one of our staff members did a redesign. We've gotten some less than stellar feedback and need help from someone that is not emotional about the logo design. Whether that means tweaking the old logo, playing with the new one or starting over. Having consistency with our branding would be amazing. Right now our font is consistent and that's about it.

What we have in place
  • We currently have our old logo, a "new" logo, and a standard font we use, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have some ideas of what we want/don't want, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,027 , allowing us to continue our Trail Ambassador program, educating hikers about mountain goats; and our Winter Tracks program, getting students outside and learning in the winter.

The success of our organization depends on growing grassroots support for Wilderness for the Scotchmans. Without your help, we cannot move forward with a cohesive brand to recruit supporters. Your skills will empower us to put our best foot forward in a time of redefinition.

Our mission

To pass on a Scotchman Peaks Wilderness for our children and grandchildren.

What we do

The Scotchman Peaks have been passed down to children and grandchildren for as long as people have lived in the Inland Northwest. They are the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa Nation, Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, and the Kalispel Tribe.

The Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness is committed to saving this land for children and grandchildren yet to come. The mission is simple: using every available tool to save the wild Scotchmans.

There are many ways the Friends pursue that goal. One of the most important is advocating for designated Wilderness status. While the Scotchman Peaks region is managed as recommended wilderness, it takes an act of Congress to create the Scotchman Peaks Wilderness. Saving the land for years to come.

That's just the beginning of what the Friends do. The organization also works to connect community members with their wild backyard. Volunteers generously give their time to maintaining the trails that keep wilderness accessible to everyone. They educate adults and kids alike on the natural world and why it matters. Perhaps most importantly, they inspire others through their passion and enthusiasm for wild places.

The fact is that wilderness matters. It provides crucial habitat to wildlife, plants and trees. It attracts tourists that drive the local economy. It's a wonderland for hikers, hunters, fishers and nature lovers. And it provides people an escape from the stress of modern life. The world needs country left untamed. And, for Idaho and Montana, Scotchman Peaks is that wild place.

Testimonials

Steven was great to work with. He started out with a design that wasn't quite what we were looking for and through some collaboration we ended up with a finished product that we are very happy with, including our entire board and staff. We're looking forward to rolling it out and showing it off!
