What we need
  • A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
Additional details

We are a community based cultural education organization seeking to expand the options of success for our children while restoring/maintaining the health of our natural environment!

What we have in place
  • We currently have a mission, vision and sail plan, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have images of our canoe, ocean and land, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to use the available funds we have to provide teachers and supplies for our children.

A quality and creative image speaks more than words ever can. As we begin to develop our core marketing and educational materials having a dynamic illustration of our traditional canoe and how it can move our community forward will increase our volunteer hours, involve future teachers and their students to participate in our education initiatives, impress future donors and current dedicated volunteers, and provide an opportunity for creative fundraising!

  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with relevant background information on the Organization, mission, and core values

Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager meet to discuss goals, target audience, and how the illustration will be utilized
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional align expectations for the initial drawings and agree upon a timeline

Milestone 2: Preliminary Sketching
  • Professional drafts and presents three concepts for the Organization’s illustration
  • Volunteer Manager chooses a favorite concept and provides up to two rounds of feedback, which the Professional uses to refine the Illustration

Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers a final version of the Illustration in digital form

Our mission

The specific objectives and purposes of I Nui Ke Aho are to use a traditional, double-hulled Hawaiian sailing canoe on the North Shore of O`ahu to help meet our vision of a vibrant North Shore community that understands, values, and protects its culture place and people. With this vision in mind and with our voyaging canoe we seek to create a traditional Hawaiian navigator`s mindset among the community by providing educational programs teaching collaboration, knowledge and pono decision-making.
