Project details
What we need
- A photographer who will work with the Organization over 1-2 days to capture an important event or shoot a series of photographs to tell the Organization's story
- A set of professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered in JPEG or TIFF format suitable for web or print use
- Note: The photographer needs to be available in the same geographical location as the Organization or be willing to travel at own expense

What we have in place
- We have a sponsorship deck that describes the full scope of the project, as we well as written profiles of the people being featured that we can send you. Additionally, Waterkeeper Magazine magazine reaches more than 600,000 readers each issue and we will, of course, give you photo credit!
How this will help
This project will save us $5,048 , allowing us to bring to life the 20th Anniversary Waterkeeper Magazine and help our Waterkeeper Warriors jump off the page.
2019 marks the 20th anniversary of Waterkeeper Alliance. To mark this milestone, Waterkeeper Alliance is planning a year of programming centered on in-depth profiles of 20 Waterkeeper Warriors who are making an impact in their communities around the world. These portraits will be used in the next issue of Waterkeeper Magazine. We are looking for a photographer for a portrait session with Senglong Youk, the Tonle Sap Lake Waterkeeper in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We're looking for shots of him as the focal point but in the field/on her waterway. So we'll have profile shots as well as "action."

Waterkeeper Alliance, Inc. connects and supports local Waterkeeper programs to provide a voice for waterways and their communities worldwide. Through Waterkeeper Alliance, Waterkeepers speak with a single, powerful voice as they tackle the world’s most pressing water issues. The Alliance stands behind every Waterkeeper, increasing their ability to function as community defenders in their efforts to protect the world’s waterways.
Founded in 1999 by environmental attorney and activist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and several veteran Waterkeeper Organizations, Waterkeeper Alliance is a global movement of on-the-water advocates who patrol and protect over 100,000 miles of rivers, streams and coastlines in North and South America, Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa.
Waterkeeper Organizations combine firsthand knowledge of their waterways with an unwavering commitment to the rights of their communities and to the rule of law. Whether they are on the water tracking down polluters, in a courtroom advocating for stronger enforcement of environmental laws, at a town meeting rallying community support, or in a classroom educating young people, Waterkeeper Organizations defend their communities against anyone who threatens their right to clean water—from law-breaking polluters to unresponsive government agencies.
