Biography

Shequaya is a native of Pittsburgh who graduated from Peabody High School. She worked at A Second Chance Inc. as a Fiscal & Human Resources intern throughout high school and college. This experience helped to shape her as a young adult giving her a glimpse of life amongst an organization whose mission was community centered. She attended Pennsylvania State University to study Health Policy and Administration and, upon completion of her Bachelor's degree, moved to Atlanta. During this time she participated in the Americorps: Hands-on-Atlanta program and volunteered with the Big Brother, Big Sister organization.
